Self-Treatments Case histories
You may want to engage friend or partner
To join in the self-therapy
Maybe wanting to be quite alone.
Any which way will do for your change to take place.
This exciting event is yours alone.
The self-efforts lead to a major change in life.
Give your self a Ten (10) in motivated attention.
If some goodies of life were missed at growing-up time,
or collected baggage needs repacking.
It will still work for you.
A bonus result is that the use and possession of this treatment
will last. It will extend the period of healthy life.
A number of reasons indicate that it is not helpful
to have an attendant person, at self-treatment time.
We do recommend that the actual treatment
is carried out quite alone it is self-help;
another person in place tends to reduce effectiveness.
Yes! It will work for you. we know!
Because we have been an eye-popping,
jaw dropping personal witness to
self-help success in people for many years.
Not 'good luck' to you here, we know luck
has no part to play in ‘change’.
'Good fortune' is yours this is a certainty.
'Just do it'

Case Studies:
We have placed these real therapy life incidents
here as a general guide for self-help.
They show several conditions responding successfully.
In each case the treatments used are outlined in the
descriptions section of the web site ahealthylonglife.com.
The home based self-help health product you have
is the therapy in use, unless we state otherwise.
Case 1
Addiction to hard drugs
32-year-old male.
History of drug use over an 11-year period.
Multi-Therapy: Psychology-Nutrition-Acupuncture- massage-hypnosis.
Time period of treatment: 8 months.
Outcome: Clean for past 3 years.
report:
This man attended therapy only because his woman partner threatened to leave him if he did not make changes.
(normally this is not a good start for us but in this case
the patient changed from trying to please another to
being motivated towards a personal self-help. |
In 'kicking the monkey' self- hypnosis was superior.
It was a major therapy support in the task.
He said that the 'trip' under hypnosis was similar
to a drug 'trip'.
In saying “NO” to the habit, gradually he became more secure and confident.
Tapes in his ‘Walk man’ kept the pressure on his objective.
Nutrition was a great help in building his weight back to normal, massage-aroma-therapy was used to calm him at times of stress in his life.
He is a market trader.
He has been clean for 3 years.
Case 2
Weight control
Woman of 47 years.
Claimed to be 6St. over-weight.
Time period of treatment 3 months
outcome: Happier, weight = 4St.lighter.
Therapy: Psychology-Nutrition-Diet
Report:
This was a very big woman, with a bone structure to match. |
Both her mother and father were 'big' people
she had been genetically 'fixed up'
she was physically, big.
This woman truly hated her-self.
All initial effort was devoted to helping her to gain some self-love.
There was comfort eating in place.
Many weight programmes had been started and dropped.
She was involved with children from whom she gained the love she denied from herself.
This caused her to be less than effective in her work with children getting too emotionally involved, with inconsistent behaviour.
She was aware of this.
She gradually began to change.
Most noticeable in her clothing and general appearance.
Extra weight left her body in line with her new self-attitude
She will never be a slim person.
Final feedback reported: 'she accepts her body is much happier, comfort eating does not happen any more, even after an 'upset.'
She changed her job to manage a shop.
Is now 'breaking' in' a new husband.
Case 3
Stress related break down
Man of 59 years.
Therapy: Psychology
Time period 5 sessions in 10 days.
Report:
This businessman would curl up in a foetus position unable to move from bed to visit his complex of apartments on the coast of Spain. |
Terrified of attending the necessary meetings with tourist agents.
Unable to communicate, his business was going downhill fast.
The magic of NLP was used in this case.
3 sessions were required but he insisted on attending 2 more just to show-off his new confidence.
I think he overdid the confidence part for himself.
On my last visit to his villa complex he was swimming in the buff.
Case 4
Fear of falling down phobia
man of 58 years
Therapy: Psychology
Time period 4 sessions:
Outcome: freedom from phobia
Report:
This was an unusual case; the man was terrified of falling down in a busy street or in a shop. |
No apparent reason caused this fear he was fit-healthy with a strong physical appearance.
We did not dwell on the 'why', we concentrated on the 'how' to help him 'change' showing him how to get a handle on the mind.
8 months later he told me that he could not believe his own memory when thinking about the past fears he had endured.
Case 5
Fear of going outside phobia
Woman of 63 years
Therapy: Psychology
Time period: 4 sessions
Out come: shopping trips again
Report:
Similar pattern to case 4 above.
The thought of going down in the lift to the street level to walk to the car was enough to make her start shaking with fear.
Holding on to her husband and shaking all the time she managed to walk a little at night trying to get better and throw off the condition. |
Using the mind-pattern in making new connections we showed her how to gain control.
She now holds the 'handle'.
Her husband is a little un happy because making up for the lost time; she spends his money just below the amount he makes.
Case 6
Skin condition
Woman of 47 years
Therapy: Natural herbs-Chinese medicine
Time period 9 months.
Outcome clear skin
Report:
The condition was nasty. Flaking arms and legs red raw and painful. |
The husband told us she hurt so bad it made her cry.
The Nutritionist and herbal expert began seeking out the best balm.
It took quite some time but gradually the balm selected took hold of the condition. Her diet was changed.
Slowly the skin changed back to a normal colour.
Joy in the husband as he thanked us stays in my memory.
She is still free from the condition.
Case 7
Depression
Woman 57 years old.
Therapy: Psychology Massage
Time period: 4 months.
Out come happy-content
Report:
The death of her husband 2 years
prior to therapy was a cause of depression.
Lonely, she felt useless without a love in her life. |
An ever-increasing alcohol consumption was not helping.
The psychology treatment was not as effective as the massage.
This weekly hands-on treatment consisting of some one taking such meticulous care of her.
Attending her with oils in body rubbing caused her to have a long lasting feeling of joy.
She took lessons in massage therapy to give similar joy to others.
Now she is working in a natural health clinic.
Case 8
Excessive Pain
Man 72 years old.
Therapy: Psychology Massage
Time period: 2 months.
Out come pain-free happy-content
An ex Royal Navy Captain. This man told me that every morning his 4 dogs would gather around him in sympathy as he suffered pain in his neck and back. |
The case was a typical one of secondary gain.
His busy life changed into a do-nothing in retirement one.
His wife was now the one running around in a social whirl.
The ex. sea captain wanted attention so imagined his pain.
(Hurting is very real but has no foundation in a biological-physical sense; no awareness of deception in consciousness exists)
On the final session when his mind had accepted the ‘change’.
A new worry emerged how could he possibly tell his wife that the pain was a figment of imagination, after all the
care and attention she had lavished upon him?
His fear was groundless she understood completely as I explained it all to her.
They 'lived happily ever after' I like to believe.
Case 9
Addiction
Man 34 years old.
Therapy: Hypnosis-acupuncture Nutrition
Time period: 15 weeks.
Out come Freedom
Report:
Long-term smoker from 14 years of age. This man
Was not enthusiastic about giving up smoking.
He claimed it relieved his stress made him feel
more comfortable, alert and relaxed. |
Using self-hypnosis we fed him facts:
The drug Nicotine sets up a cycle of dependence.
It is true that stress discontinues when an addict 'lights up'.
The new ‘fix feeds the 'screaming’ of the body stopping stress
for the time required before the next ‘fix’.
He was looking on 'the enemy' as a friend, we showed the 'Kirlien
Aura pictures of his lungs to convince him of the self-abuse.
He began to have more energy from slowing down the quantity
smoked and the nutrition being taken.
He played his Squash-racquet's games without breathlessness.
The lung improvement was his great motivator.
In the last 4 years he has not lit-up a coffin nail!
Case 10
Alcoholic hallucinations
Man 68 years old.
Therapy: Psychology Self-Hypnosis
Time period: 4 sessions 1 month.
Out come: Freedom from fear phantasm |
This case taught me a great deal about
unusual long-term side effects of excessive alcohol.
The patient was Irish and had been a heavy drinker.
He had been dry for many years.
He had strong religious convictions
and worked at many voluntary occupations.
He was convinced that insects had invaded his body.
He pointed out tiny marks on his feet and legs as the entry points.
I was baffled from a 'why' point, it was the medical doctor at the clinic in Spain that pointed out how the patient had arrived at the *phantasm.
Treatment consisted of sessions of self- hypnosis
my props were a paper bag. and some hard peas.
During the trance state I explained how the insects
were leaving his body the pea dropping
into the bag made the necessary sound effect.
My desk held the bag of 'insects' for him to "examine at any time".
Fortunately he was too frightened to ask of them.
It was noticeable that a new calmness in him prevailed
at home and church at the completion of the sessions.
*When out-of-mind in drink strange things are imagined. In this case
they had become so real they slipped into the sober consciousness.
Double Trouble
Young Couple both
35 years old.
Therapy Psychology
Time period 6 weeks
Outcome: B.R staff back on the rails.
Can you imagine anything worse? Than a married couple with
conditions dovetailing together making their suffering worse. |
The man and woman were executive managers on British railways
He had a very nasty case of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. IBS.
This mind created condition causes vomiting sickness
and lots of needless runs to the bathroom.
She suffered from a phobia of sickness.
The very sight of some one sick sent her running
from the room in a complete panic.
The treatments we have on the Internet fund-raiser were used.
Success was complete.
He moved swifter up the BR.exe.ladder because now
He could attend a full meeting without running to the loo.
She joined me in a programme on BBC radio.
To tell the listeners how after her treatment
she had helped a woman in a state of vomiting.
Where before she would have passed out in fear and panic.
Irrational fears- nervousness- feeling ill with apprehension
is very common. Many famous actors suffer.
Ironically it is easy to make a change-gain-freedom.
It needs only that the treatment is used.
I call it getting a handle on the mind.
The following case illustrates the malady.
Case 12
Exam nervousness
* Young man 16 years old
Therapy: Psychology Time period: 6 sessions -2 months.
Out come University place. |
*The picture is a model it is not the patient
This case is dominated by the love of a father for his son.
The evidence to illustrate the vision of this man
Is this;
He saw the anguish in his son, a hard-working student of intellect.
Getting such poor results at exam time.
He appreciated that he was in need of outside support.
Commissioned a psychologist to help.
Many fathers would have given the 'stiff upper lip
speech-treatment' a ‘pull yourself together’ routine.
Treatments used on the youth are in 'Secrets from the clinics'
The student was a nervous wreck at examination time.
(He told me his brain went numb as he looked at the questions)
After treatment the lad went flying through his 'A' levels and university entrance exam.
The nice endnote is that the father gave a gift made of silver that illustrated the self-help therapy to his son.
